ALBANY, GA --
There may be some development soon out by the Grand Island Golf Course.

Gary Eller with Lifestyle Realty has bought the land next door and plans to build around 100 townhomes that he says will cater perfectly to today's baby boomers.

“We call this kind of a lock and go situation where you can lock the key and come back three months later and the yard's cut and everything's maintained,” says Eller.

The townhomes would offer sidewalks for easy access to and from the golf course for golf carts or walkers.

The Lee County Planning Commission will vote on it next Tuesday and the Lee County Commission will give its final vote the first week in April.
