WORTH COUNTY, GA --
The Worth County Fire and Rescue Chief resigned Wednesday morning, according to Worthit2u.net.

According to their story, a letter sent by Worth County Board Chairman Matt Medders to Chief Jason Brooks cited Brooks’ "recent involvement in matters involving domestic violence" and being placed on administrative leave or resigning.

FOX 31 called and emailed Medders about this with no reply.

In July and August of 2011, firefighters at the department brought complaints about Brooks to the board of commissioners. The board voted 3-2 that August to keep Brooks.

Assistant Chief Lyn Ford has stepped in as Fire and Rescue Chief.
