ALBANY, GA --
A discussion on the African American economic disparities since the Civil Rights era took place at Darton College this afternoon.

Panelists included Dr. Joshua Murfree, President of the "Stop the Violence Campaign", Assistant Economic professor Aaron Johnson of Darton College, and host of other community leaders.

Many of the speakers spoke about the importance of moving forward and investing in the cities future by building relationships.

“One of the things that we need to make sure that we concentrate on is a skilled trained workforce. Education is the key, to move from poverty from wealthy people must be educated." said Mikell Fryer, Regional Director Department of Labor.
