ALBANY, GA --
Runners hit the pavement this morning for the "Son Run" at Byne Christian School.

The 5k course began and ended at Byne on Ledo Road and it included a path through the Palmyra subdivision.

Participants were up bright and early for registration at 7:30 A.M.

The money raised for this event is going to the school.

One of the parent organizers, Tom Seegmuller, says “it's just a neat way to kick off this time of year. We got a lot of run in Albany. The school thought this was a great way to support the school as we’ll as have a fun community activity.”

After today’s turn out, Byne hopes to make this an annual tradition.
