Albany State University's Military Liaison says it's their student-teacher ratio that makes the campus a top military-friendly college

ALBANY, GA -- Albany State University is named Top Military-Friendly University the Military Advanced Education (MAE) Magazine.

ASU’s Military Liaison Claven Williams, a retired commander and pilot, says he helps military students get through hiccups in the enrollment process.

He says their 21 to 1 student-teacher ratio is what makes the smaller campus stand out as a top military-friendly college.

"You're almost getting a one-on-one instruction from your faculty members and if you've got a question you can ask it you don't have to wait in line until the next 200, 300 people are asking a question," says Williams. "When an institution is small like Albany state we can provide a more personal instruction."

Williams says the campus is working on developing their Military Outreach Center which will be in the old Reese Student Union building. He says there will be about four offices with faculty that will cater to military students and veterans.

Check out more about ASU's credentials and other military-friendly academies on MAE's website.
