ALBANY, GA --
Sheriff’s officials have captured a T.V. bandit in Lowndes County.

Darra Ann Maulden, 19, was captured Wednesday after leaving a store with two big screens TV’s.

While driving on Highway 376 near Lake Park sheriff’s investigator,

Sergeant Jack Winningham, noticed a Mercury Grand Marquis swerving in the road.

The officer stopped the car and found the driver and Darra Maulden inside with two 47-inch flat screen TV’s.

Maulden told police she had purchased the items from Wal-Mart, but once he called the store he found that the woman had loaded the items in a basket and slipped out of the store without paying.

The woman was taken into custody and booked into the Lowndes County Jail.

She’s since been released on a $5,000 bond.

The driver of the vehicle was not charged in this case.
