LOWNDES COUNTY, GA -- The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Wednesday in connection to house they found with $55,000 worth of methamphetamine in it.
They say a Rockdale County Sheriff’s deputy arrested Vernon Joe Terry for trafficking methamphetamine.
On Feb. 8, investigators found 559 grams of methamphetamine worth $55,000 inside a Lowndes County residence along with several items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine after investigators searched the residence.
The search came after they say a Constable from the Lowndes County Magistrate Court said he served an eviction notice to Terry who immediately left the residence after receiving the paperwork.
Terry is currently in the Lowndes County Jail.
