A motorcycle accident on Slappey Boulevard appears to have happened around 1:00 p.m. Saturday  / Kerri Copello

ALBANY, GA --
UPDATE 2/4/12 4:05

According to police, 74-year-old Virginia Lanier was driving a 2002 Ford Mustang south on Slappey Boulevard and attempted a left turn into a drug store.

24-year-old Joshua Young was riding his motorcycle north on Slappey when Lanier attempted a left turn and struck the front of Young's motorcycle.

Young has been sent to Phoebe Putney for further evaluation.

Charges are pending.

Fox 31 News is working on getting details about a motorcycle accident that happened Saturday afternoon.

It happened at West Society and Slappey Boulevard around 1:00 p.m.

Albany police are investigating.

We'll post updates as they become available and tune into Fox 31 News tonight at ten.
