In our Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know how much sugar is too much sugar.
ALBANY, GA --
Across the county there has been discussion about sugar being regulated much like what alcohol and tobacco companies do with their products. Alcohol is toxic to some and several scientists in the U.S. say that sugar is too.
“It’s very hard to determine how much is too much, because everyone is different,” said Phoebe North Clinical dietitian Jodi Zelma. For years researchers have been saying that the amount of sugar a person takes in can lead to disease.
“One way to help decrease the sugar in our diets is to choose foods that are in there whole and natural state,” says Zelma.
