ALBANY, GA -- Counselors and educators from all over Southwest Georgia participated in the High School Partners Workshop at Albany Technical College.

Throughout the day, high school officials were given to tours of occupational areas on campus.

Go Build Georgia, Careers through Education, financial aid options and educational opportunities in construction were just some of the topics discussed. “Our goal for today is for counselors in our high school area to really understand that Albany Technical College should be a first choice for many of their students and their career goals,” said Betty Steel, High School Coordinator at Albany Technical college.

Dr. Elizabeth Ragsdale, with the Second Congressional District State Board of Education, served as one of many speakers for the event.
