ALBANY, GA --
In our Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know if local schools practice corporal punishment?

Corporal punishment is defined as the use of physical force causing pain but not wounds as a means of discipline.

And in the State of Georgia corporal punishment is legal with parental consent.

R.D. Harter the Public Information Officer for The Dougherty County School system says  "the overall feeling of the school system is that there are other means to punish people than corporate punishment."
