ALBANY, GA --
Albany State University is moving quickly to make changes to its admissions process and services.

A town hall meeting was held Friday with students, faculty, and staff to explain why the school is cracking down.

School officials discussed the results from a recent report from the University System of Georgia.

The findings include that more than 300 stundents were admitted to ASU who didn't meet the minimum test scores required to be accepted over the last few years. Dr. Everette Freeman, President of the University, says "one of the main things that we have done is we've made sure that moving forward, no student who does not meet the requirements who attends Albany State will do so without  my specific approval."

Another change the University is taking steps to train personnel to make Albany State the first choice when  it comes to customer service.
