New unemployment numbers came out Thursday January 19, 2012 and for the third month in a row its good news for job seekers.
The Georgia Department of Labor announced that the adjusted unemployment rate for December 2011 as 9.7%. That’s a one-tenth of a percentage drop from November 2011’s 9.8% unemployment rate. In the month of December officials say the state saw growth in construction, manufacturing, information services, and transportation.
In December 2010 the jobless rate stood at 10.4%.
