ALBANY, GA --
People these days are holding onto their cars until the tires fall off it seems!

A new study says cars on the road today could be up to 11 years old.

Folks are cutting back in this poor economy and agree it's cheaper to keep the old car running than it is to buy a new one.

However, folks at GoodLife Tire Brake and Align in Albany say drivers aren't bringing in their cars for more extensive maintenance.

“The coolant flush, transmission service, changing out the belts, hoses, changing spark plugs, wires,” says Joel Davis of GoodLife Tire brake and Align.

People may think they are saving money by going longer without these changes, but getting them done sooner could save them lots of money in the long run.
