ALBANY, GA -- An early morning fight sent one man to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital today.
19-year-old Martel Mathis was admitted to Phoebe Putney with swelling to the head and face along with multiple bruises over his body according to authorities. Suspects reportedly used only their fists and feet to inflict the injuries.
Mathis told police that he was attacked in the 2500 block of Brierwood Drive by 23-year-old Lisa Tinsley and 25-year-old Robert Henry. Police arrested both Tinsley and Henry, then charged both with aggravated battery.The Albany Police Department said that additional charges are pending at this time. The case has also been referred to the gang unit for further investigation to explore the possibility of being gang related.
