How to stick to your resolutions
2012 is just around the corner and with the New Year comes a new opportunity to do things different or better than 2011. A common new year's resolution is losing weight. Whether that mean's hitting the gym or just eating healthier, be sure to set realistic goals so you don't fail.
“That's typically what you see because when you're doing New Year’s resolutions you're gun-ho, you’re ready to go and you make all these changes so quick and you just feel like you can't handle it. You end up dying off towards the end up not following through on what you're supposed to be doing,” said Kris Morrill, fitness coach.
Don’t set yourself up for failure. Instead have reasonable goals and set small landmarks you can check off as you go to stay motivated.
Changing habits and starting a new routine isn't always easy. Try not to get discouraged and change up the routine to avoid boredom.
But don't think you need a gym membership to get fit and stay healthy simply walking outside can be a great start.
