ALBANY GA. -- Employees and volunteers at 'A Place 4 Hope' may rest a little easier this holiday season knowing that their pantry is stocked with items.

Albany’s Recreation and Parks Center donated four large boxes filled with hygiene toiletries for people who need them.

Over the last month students and community members helped raise funds and collect items to donate.

Although the blankets, deodorants, and soaps were turned over Thursday, the project is ongoing.

Gyms and centers associated with the Albany Recreation and Parks Center are asked to continue collecting items for the facility.

Before school starts next semester, the students who helped with the fundraiser will be awarded with a pizza party.
