ALBANY, GA -- An accident on West Oakridge Drive and Martin Luther King Drive caused seven cars to crash; children were inside the vehicles.

Wednesday evening, police say a 2002 maroon Chevrolet Blazer failed to yield while turning left on to Martin Luther King Drive and collided with another 1997 maroon Chevrolet Blazer. The accident caused four other vehicles to crash and then a gray Nissan Altima that rear ended one car.

Police say rain and darkness were contributing factors: They say the Blazers were hard to see after the accident because of their dark colors.

Police say all of the children involved were wearing their seatbelts and that none of them were ejected from the vehicle.

Officers cited the 2002 Blazer and Altima in this case.
