AMERICUS, GA --

The historic moments continue at the new Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, as the first set of twins were born at the new facility on Monday, December 19th, just three days after the official opening day of December 16th.

At 2:24 pm, Ethan Maurice Ingram made his entrance into the world, and one minute later his brother Aidan Nicholas Ingram arrived as well. Ethan weighed in at 5 pounds and 1 ounce while his "little" brother actually weighed more at 5 pounds and 7 ounces. The attending physician was local Dr. Jocelyn Rogers, a local OB&GYN.

"This is great to be a part of history, something to look back on and remember and me and their father Eric (Ingram) can tell them about when they get older," said mother Brittany Blackmon. "The new hospital and rooms are very nice, and the staff has been great as well. Excellent service and we couldn't ask for more."
