DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -- The Dougherty County Commission held their final meeting before the Christmas holiday.

Students from the 4-H County Extension Program serenaded the board with "Silent Night" and "Christmas Shoes".  After the songs each student passed out candy filled jars to board members.

The comission voted on two new Chevy Impalas for the County Police Department's Detective Division. They also voted to renew the liquor license of Albany Express. This is in spite of opposition from Dougherty County Ward II commissioner John Hayes.

Hayes said his concern stems from comments made by neighbors within the area.
