ALBANY, GA -- Flint River Habitat for Humanity plans to build at least two single family houses in the new year.

They approached the city commission Tuesday to request the use of up to $100,000 in federal HUD dollars for construction of two disable-friendly homes.

The homes will be built between January and June of 2012 by the family that will inhabit the house as well as volunteers.

The commission tentatively approved the measure and will give a final vote at their night meeting December 20 at 8:00 p.m.
