ALBANY, GA -- A lot of viewers are talking about the close race that Mayor-Elect Dorothy Hubbard won against B.J. Fletcher in Tuesday's run-off election.

It’s not the first close race in a mayoral election.

According to records from the Voter Registration and Election Office, in 2007, Mayor Willie Adams won against Bo Dorough by 57 percent; Dorough received 43 percent of the vote.

The elections of 2004 and 1999 weren’t as close. In 2004 Adams won against Tommy Coleman with 60 percent of the votes. In 1999, Coleman won against four other candidates, grabbing 56 percent of the vote.

The Voter Registration and Election Office says their records only go back as far as 1999.
