ALBANY, GA -- FOX 31 News caught up with Downtown Manager Aaron Blair to discuss the future of Downtown Albany.

Within the next five years he hopes to put some plans into action including correcting some of the downtown street scapes with the ultimate goal of refreshing the historic downtown neighborhoods with a new look.

Recently he's been researching the Riverpark Master Plan with hopes to improve the outdoor fine dining experience.

He also wants to increase residential options in the near future including lofts.  In the next couple of months he hopes to get help from ADICA, the Albany-Dougherty Inner City Authority, with a loft conversion program.

Another goal Blair has in mind is to make downtown more pedestrian friendly.
