ALBANY, GA. -- One day before the run-off election a few people in the small business community are endorsing one of Albany’s mayoral candidates.

B.J. Fletcher says the endorsement came as a surprise Monday morning when she noticed her signs popping up alongside businesses.

Some of the supporters include the Flower Basket, Moe's, and J & S Tires.

The stores put out new campaign signs decorated in yellow and green to signify their hope that Fletcher will make a difference.

“That's what I’m in this race for. I'm in it for the local businesses and to bring new businesses in this community,” said Business Woman and Mayoral Candidate B.J. Fletcher, “To know that your peers are standing behind you with no motive behind them is very humbling.”

B.J. Fletcher faces Dorothy Hubbard in the run-off election.
