ALBANY, GA -- You can make a child's wish come true with the help of Albany’s Recreation and Parks Department.

You can pick up a child's letter to Santa at their headquarters in Tift Park.

The letter has the child's clothing and shoe size and a list of toys they would like.

Children participating are from the Liberty House, a shelter for battered women and children, and The Bridge, a shelter for abused or neglected children.

“The operator of The Bridge told me recently that some of the kids come into her shelter as 16 and 17-year-olds and have never had a Christmas in their lives,” says Kristin Caso with the Recreation and Parks Department.

Folks have until December ninth if you want to participate, and best of all, you don't have to worry about gift wrap!

Headquarters are located at 1301 North Monroe.
