Former News Director and Anchor at Fox 31 News John Williams lost his battle to cancer on Monday.
Williams was the News Director and main anchor from June of 2000 to March of 2005. Williams was very involved with the Southwest Georgia community as he spoke frequently to the SOWEGA Council on Aging and at VFW meetings.
Williams was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Past co-workers at Fox 31 News say Williams loved cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, loved politics and news, and always had a joke to make people laugh.
