ALBANY, GA -- The Christmas tree that will light up downtown Albany during the holiday season arrived Tuesday morning.

The red cedar rolled down Pine Avenue around 10:30 a.m.

Workers cleared the way for the giant tree most of the morning.

The tree itself will be lit this Saturday moments before Albany’s Christmas parade kicks off.

This year the tree is dedicated to the memory of fallen Dougherty County officer Cliff Rouse, and his family will get to flip the switch.
