ALBANY, GA. -- Drivers may be in for a treat at the pumps this holiday season. Local gas prices are dropping close to three dollars per gallon.

While the average cost of gas in the state of Georgia sits at $3.19, prices as low as $3.02 have been spotted around town.

Experts say the price of oil will continue to yoyo due to low demand and drivers say it couldn't have come at a better time.

“I love the gas prices being as low as they can because the cost of living is so high now. Anytime you can save some money...it's a blessing,” said Albany Driver Howard Seamon.

Analysts say if fuel demand remains low drivers could see prices fall even further.
