ALBANY, GA -- Over the past couple of days several organizations have been feeding those in need in the spirit of Thanksgiving.
But on Thursday one church group took it step further and actually gave up part of their holiday to serve a meal to the homeless.
Members of Saints of God House of Worship handed out more than 100 hot meals to people at the Salvation Army.
“The Bible teaches us to help the needy and I feel that this is the responsibility of the church to do this and sometimes to do what god wants us to do we have to give up and sacrifice some of the things we love to do in order to help someone else,” said pastor Arthur Lee Wright.
The meals of course had turkey, stuffing, ham and a Cinnabon for desert.
