Deputy arrested in Dougherty County
A Sheriff’s Deputy from Cook County was arrested and taken to the Dougherty County Jail.
50-year-old Harry Bruce Phelps was booked for violating an officer’s oath, and two counts of supplying alcohol to minors.
Phelps allegedly gave alcohol to 19-year-old boys at a Halloween party at Merry Acres in October.
The Cook County Sherriff’s office has not returned our phone calls to see if this arrest will affect the employment status of Phelps.
