ALBANY, GA -- New unemployment numbers for Georgia were released by the Department of Labor.

The numbers are slightly promising for job seekers.  Officials say Georgia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 10.2% in October.  That’s down one tenth of a percent from 10.3% in September of 2011.

Regional unemployment numbers for Southwest Georgia are expected to be released soon.
