ALBANY, GA -- Recently, several Facebook users' accounts were hacked into, resulting in spam posted to their feeds.

In today's Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know how to protect yourself.

Most importantly, be vigilant.

Pay attention to friend's feeds and if you see anything questionable, send them an email or message letting them know, they might not realize they have become a victim.

“The other thing is make sure your browser is up to date because Facebook is saying that some of the issues was related to people not having up to date browsers, not having good enough internet security basically,” says Interactive Managing Editor Kyle Proctor.
