ALBANY, GA -- The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred over the weekend.

On Saurday, officers went to a home on Springruff Drive at 11:15 p.m. regarding an aggravated assault.

Upon arrival they noticed Todd Alexander, 25, was shot in the right leg; Alexander was transported to South Georgia Medical Center.

No arrests have been made in connection with this incident yet, and the investigation remains on-going.

Investigators have learned that a vehicle -- desribed to them by a neighbor as a dark colored minivan -- drove by the residence that night and began firing at Alexander; they say shots struck Alexander, the residence and vehicles that were parked in the yard.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office at (229) 671-2950.
