ALBANY, GA -- Early voting is in its second week now, so how are the numbers?

Elections Supervisor Ginger Nickerson says they've had a little over 600 people vote early.

Nickerson says that's pretty standard for a non-presidential election year.

Still, they're optimistic for a big turnout on election day.

“We're preparing for a huge turnout, we don't prepare for small, we prepare for huge. So we'd like to see a lot of people come out but it's still early to see,” says Nickerson.

The last day to vote early is Friday, November fourth at 5 p.m at 222 Pine Ave.

Election day is November 8.
