ALBANY, GA. -- Albany police are investigating the burglary of a local head start center.

Officers responded to an active alarm at the Tift Head Start Center on Tift Avenue around 11:20 p.m. Saturday night and discovered the building had been broken into.

Police reports say the burglar gained entry through the rear window of the building.

Details of what was stolen have not been released to the public.

This case is still under investigation.
