ALBANY, GA -- Dozens of people were locked up 'for good' Thursday, quite literally. They were raising money for a charity, the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

They do the fundraiser annually putting people in room until they're able to raise their bail money. All the funds go to the charity.

“Their bail goal is $3,800 and we have a bail goal overall of $80,000 to reach for this community and when they come here, they get their mug shots taken, their fingerprints taken and then they make some last minute phone calls to get out of jail,” said Crystal Ralys.

More than 60 people participated in the fundraiser. The Albany Arts Council donated their building as today's jail.
