ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Dougherty Drug Unit arrested the passenger and is searching for the driver of a vehicle that they found marijuana in.

Maj. Bill Berry with the ADDU says officers prepared to stop a blue Cadillac at the 800 block of Corn Avenue for a traffic violation when the vehicle failed to pull over. He says officers continued chasing the car until the passenger, Wahood Karshif Johnson, 29, and the driver bailed.

ADDU officers recovered 7.5 ounces of marijuana from the vehicle.

Berry says they were able to arrest Johnson but have not identified the driver yet and continue to look for him. The ADDU is currently processing the vehicle and say they plan to follow up on the driver’s identification based on their findings.
