ALBANY, GA -- So far, the Heritage House looks like it's well on its way to being demolished.

The company that owns the dilapidated structure, Greenbriar Holdings and Associates, LLC. has until October 21(next Friday) to appeal the order.

But City Attorney Nathan Davis seems optimistic that common sense will rule out.

“I am, personally, yeah, I think they finally realized that they've had two full trials now and I would tell you the evidence is overwhelming, but all you have to do is look at the jury verdict and you can see how 12 people felt about the evidence,” says Davis.

If no appeal is filed by next Friday, the city will then bid out the demolition project, which may take up to 30 days.
