ALBANY, GA -- It appears that pancreatic cancer is what killed Steve Jobs at the age of 56. It's one of the most deadly forms of cancer.

In our Facebook story of the day you wanted to know what makes it so difficult to treat.

“Those cancers are very fast growing, aggressive, and the chemotherapy which we use historically has not proven much of a benefit also it is very hard to detect early so by the time you find it most 80 percent of the pancreatic cancer patients are nonresectable,” said Phoebe Oncologist Dr. Chirag Jani.

Cases of pancreatic cancer have grown across the country. Symptoms include abdominal pain, fatigue and weight loss.
