ALBANY, GA. -- One marine is heading overseas to join a group of maintenance workers in Afghanistan.

Terry Richardson bid his family and friends farewell before boarding a flight to Atlanta.

He’s scheduled to work for the Maintenance Center inspecting and repairing military equipment.

Richardson says he expects to be in Afghanistan for one year.
