ALBANY, GA -- Water Gas and Light is two months into their fiscal year.

Tuesday, the WG&L Commission got an update from the financial director. He says the board is slightly below budget, but should catch up by end of the fiscal year.

“A lot of it is weather driven, how well we'll do. Very mild weather will hurt our revenue and colder than normal weather and hotter than normal weather in the summer time hurts our revenues,” said John Vansant, WG&L Finance Executive.

Revenue is down about $100,000, but it's a small number considering the board has a $10 million budget.
