ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Police Department, along with the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit, and S.W.A.T teams totaling over 30 members of law enforcement executed the warrants at a home in the 800 block of Swift Street and the 700 block of Highland Avenue.
Authorities made four arrests and small amounts of marijuana were recovered.
Investigators believed that both houses had some gang ties to them and could have been frequented by people tied to a shooting weeks ago that involved an Albany Police officer's vehicle.
Major Bill Berry of the Albany Dougherty-Drug Unit said "the association of this house is what we were concerned about if other members of the gang where staying there or visiting there or were there when we served our search warrant, so that was a safety concern for everybody so that's why we decided to use S.W.A.T."
Agents were also found using new equipment in the field.
Electronic fingerprinting identification systems that were purchased with grant money made running background checks from the field quicker for the officers.
Each Albany and Dougherty policing agency has gotten the new systems.
