ALBANY, GA -- Methamphetamine is a growing problem nationwide, but is it the most prominent drug locally?

That's what you wanted to know in our Facebook story of the day.

Major Bill Berry with the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit says we have seen meth in the area, but due to stricter state laws, they don't see many meth houses.

What he does see is a lot of over the counter pain medication.

“It just seems like every time we turn around, there are pain pills involved and in a lot of cases, it's nothing but pain pills. They're going out of state, ordering them off the internet,” says Major Berry.

Major Berry says he also sees cocaine and marijuana on a regular basis.
