ALBANY, GA -- You may have heard that Georgia is a right to work state, but have you ever wondered what that means? It's our Facebook story of the day.

Hiring experts say that right to work means employers can't force workers to join a union as a condition of employment. It has a different impact for both employees and companies.

“For the employee it benefits them because they don't have to pay any fees to be a member of a union, to be able to be employed. For an employer it benefits them because they have the flexibility of kind of making their own rules, where as a union would kind of back that up for employees,” said Crystal Askew of the Goodwill Career Center.

Georgia is one of 22 right to work states.
