VALDOSTA, GA -- Authorities arrested Kendrell O. Robinson, 25, from Valdosta for failure to register as a sex offender.

During an unrelated investigation being conducted by detectives with the Valdosta Police Department, it was discovered that Robinson was previously convicted of the false imprisonment of a minor in Gadsden County, Florida in 2004; therefore, he was required to register as a sex offender. Investigators with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office were contacted and advised of this information.

An additional investigation revealed that Robinson registered with the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office but had been living in the Valdosta area for nearly a month. Robinson failed to notify either Gadsden County or the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office of his residency change.

Robinson was subsequently arrested for failure to register as a sex offender, which is a felony, and was placed in the Lowndes County Jail.
