A player's memory of the old building
SUMNER -- The Sumner Gym was built nearly 60 years ago, in 1952.
It was financed totally by the people of the community through various fund raisers like barbeques, cake walks and local advertisments.
After man years of use the old gym sat empty until locals groups took it over.
Now the gym is going back into the hands of the local government.
One of the very first basketball players to use the gym shares his memories with FOX 31's Melanie Kendall for GOOD DAY on the Go.
