ALBANY, GA -- Four college students were literally 'vested in' Tuesday into a new Young Ambassadors program at the Chamber of Commerce.

The students from Albany State and Albany Technical College are all studying business.

The Young Ambassadors will work as assistant liaisons between the chamber and local businesses.

“Everybody wants to keep their talented folks in their community, so what this does is encourage future workforce development with the brightest, the best of the best and hopefully engages these folks into our community,” said Chamber of Commerce president Catherine Glover.

The chamber also plans to induct two more students from Darton College into the Young Ambassadors program later this month.
