ALBANY, GA -- The vacant Hooter’s restaurant in northwest Albany is getting a new tenant and this move could bring more jobs to our area.

Austin’s Barbeque and Oyster Bar on Meredith Drive is set to relocate to the facility on Old Dawson Road.

Austin Newman, the owner of the oyster bar, is expected to change the name of the business to Austin’s Firehouse Grill.

Local officials say he's already applied for a new liquor license.

A representative for Newman says the company will begin taking job applications on October 1, 2011.
