ALBANY, GA -- Members of law enforcement and golfers were on the green to help raise some green Friday.
Players teed off for the fourth annual Albany Crime Stoppers golf tournament and fundraiser.
This year it was dedicated in honor of Lieutenant Cliff Rouse. 100 percent of the money that was raised is going to help pay off tipsters who call into the Crime Stoppers line.
”We're paying out more tips then ever anonymous tips, in order to get some of these people off the streets. Our tournament has grown, but so has crime. So we're having to do more and more to combat the problem here in our area,” said Jaime Knight with Crime Stoppers.
Last year the tournament raised more than $3,000 dollars for the Crime Stoppers tip line.
