APD responds to an early morning shooting

ALBANY, GA -- A 27-year-old Albany woman was shot in the leg early Thursday morning.

Albany Police Department officials tell Fox 31 News that around 3:50 a.m. Sonjolette Ellis was shot in the leg at 617 Willard Avenue.

When officers arrived they say she was responsive and EMS took her to a local hospital for treatment.
